The jury is made up of five qualified individuals with widely diverse backgrounds. They are picked from a pool of picture editors, photographers and representatives of press agencies and come from different parts of the world. They met in Stockholm, Sweden in the middle of February for the jury meeting to choose the award winning pictures.
CHAIRMAN AND MODERATOR, TERJE BRINGEDAL
Terje Bringedal started as staffphotographer at Adresseavisen in Trondheim in 1972. From 1990 he served as Picture editor in VG-Verdens Gang till 1997, getting bored of sitting inside so took on as staff photographer from then. He has been the Chairman of The Norwegian Pressphotographers Union since 1994. Terje is the President of Nordic Pressphotographers Union.
LAARA MATSEN, PHOTO EDITOR D2 MAGAZINE
Laara Matsen has been a photographer, writer, photo editor, and curator since 1997.
Beginning her career as a photo editor at Magnum Photos in New York, Laara later branched out as a multi-faceted
supporter and producer of long-term documentary photo projects.
She has edited and curated numerous international photo exhibitions and award winning photo books.

MARGARET M de LANGE, PHOTOGRAPHER
Margaret M de Lange was born in 1963 in Norway and has participated in various group exhibitions in, Norway, France, and Italy to name a few. She has previously exhibited the series Daughters (2009) in New York, Brussels, Paris, and Norway. Her latest photographic series Surrounded By No One has its world premiere at Fotografiska.

There are three awards in each category*: 1st , 2nd and 3rd prize. Nominated photographers will receive one of these prizes.
